A Christmas Tree is a decorated tree. It is usually made by using artificial thing like spruce, pine or fir. It looks the real tree, associated with the celebration of Christmas.

The modern tree was developed in early modern Germany. It was decorated with roses. These roses made up of colored paper, apples, wafers, tinsel, and sweetmeats.

In the 18 century, it began to be illustrated by candles but after the advancement of electrification, it is replaced by Christmas lights. Now the days, there is the verity of tree available in the market such as Garlands, Baubles, Tinsel and Candy Canes. An angle or a start is placed at the top of the tree. It represents the Archangel Gabriel or the Star of Bethlehem from the Nativity. Eatable items like gingerbread, chocolate and some other sweet items are also hanged with its branches of the tree.

In the Western Christain Tradition and Christmas trees are combined on both days like on the first day of advent and on the Christmas Eve day. It depends upon the country tradition.

With the passage of time, the tradition of this tree is changed.  From the start, it is decorated with candles and after that, it is decorated with white lights and now it is decorated with beautiful papers rose and wite as well as from yellow lights.

After the October Revolution, this tree was banned in Russia. It was not remain banned more than 18 years. It was reinstated as New Year spruce in 1935. It would become a fully non-religious icon of the New Year holiday.

This tradition carries on after the fall of the USSR, Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. A Charlie Brown Christmas, a tv specialist was the focus on the pop culture surrounding the Christmas tree.
